Arts Night Out Arts on Campus Arts Institute
Saturday, October 13

Memorial Union Terrace chair.

Not only tonight... but also tomorrow and all year round.

The performing arts at University of Wisconsin-Madison are rich in tradition and continue to lead the way in excellence and innovation. From the School of Music to the University Theatre, Dance Program, Cinematheque, Wisconsin Film Festival, the Wisconsin Union / Wisconsin Union Theater, the university offers a dazzling array of more than 1,500 performing arts events each year, from traditional to cutting edge, homegrown to global, and emerging artists to world-class faculty and performers. And, for those who want to develop their own creativity and knowledge, UW-Madison offers a wealth of lifelong learning and research opportunities.

Many of these events are inexpensive or free all year long—a great opportunity for families, students and community members to experience high-quality performing arts without high prices. All Arts Night Out! events on Oct. 13th are free.

Making and studying art are integral to UW-Madison's past, present and future. The university's first gallery was built in 1877 and today art galleries, museums, libraries, and working presses welcome students and visitors.

One of the most visited facilities is the Chazen Museum of Art, a major regional institution that presents innovative exhibitions and is a primary source for academic research. Visitors can view student and research exhibitions at the Seventh Floor Gallery (Mosse Humanities Building), Design Gallery, Wisconsin Union Galleries, or the Red Gym.
