- DescriptionReluctant British spy Harry Palmer (Michael Caine) has to deal with bureaucracy, brainwashing, and lots of really cool camera angles while on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist. This highly entertaining, semi-psychedelic thriller is made unique by Caine’s portrayal of a frumpy, Cockney-accented anti-Bond. The creation of novelist Len Deighton, Ipcress was the first of five Harry Palmer movies, all starring Caine.
